What happens if a payment fails, and can I get a refund?

What to do if a payment fails on SMASH, and the refund conditions, including for .MC domain names.

If a payment fails, you are notified by email and invited to update your payment method from your customer area. As a general rule, no refund is automatic for a service already performed or a subscription already started.

If a payment fails

  • You are notified by email as soon as a payment fails.
  • Update your payment method from your customer area to resolve the situation.
  • Without resolution, the affected service may be temporarily suspended.

Refund conditions

  • No refund is automatic for a service already performed or a subscription already started.
  • For .MC domain names: you have a legal period of 7 days from the conclusion of the contract to exercise your right of withdrawal, in writing. This right can no longer be exercised once Smash begins the registration process, which is immediate and irreversible.
  • If the registry (NIC Monaco) refuses to register a domain name, the contract has no effect: Smash fully refunds the amounts paid, or, at your request, resubmits a compliant request at no additional cost.
  • For other services and subscriptions, refund conditions may vary depending on the specifics of the contract. In all cases, any refund granted is confirmed by email.
