Question 1

I just subscribed: where do I start?

Accepted Answer

Between subscribing and your team reading their email, there are five steps. This page walks through them in order and links to the detail of each. Allow a few minutes for the whole thing, except for validating a .mc domain, which takes around five business days. Your domain name Your work address is built on a domain name, for example yourcompany.mc. You can register one with us or transfer one you already own. Either way, it has to be managed by our services for mail to work. See How do I choose and register my domain name? Your mail subscription Each mailbox uses one licence. You choose how many licences when you subscribe, and you can add more at any time. See How do I manage my mailboxes and licences? Create your users From Administration > Users, create one address per person. Each of them receives an access code by SMS. See How do I add a user to my organisation? Activate each mailbox — the step everyone misses A mailbox only really exists once its owner has signed in to the webmail for the first time. Until that happens, the address shows the "Activating" status and receives no mail. This is the step that blocks most people. Two cases: The mailbox is for someone else: send them their address and the webmail address. The "Welcome message" button prepares the message for you. The mailbox is for yourself: use "Activate mailbox", which signs you in to that address without signing you out of the marketplace. See I created a mailbox, why does it say "Activating"? and I created an email address for myself, how do I sign in to it? Install the app Last step, for you and for every user: install SMASH Mail on your computer and phone. That is the recommended way to use it. Anyone who prefers Outlook can set it up instead. See Web app or Outlook: which should I choose? If something goes wrong Our support team answers questions at every step. See How do I contact support?
