How long does a .MC domain last and how do I renew it?

A .MC domain name is registered for a period of one year. It must then be renewed every year to remain active. By default, we offer automatic renewal of your domain name, which you can disable in the domain name settings.

Automatic renewal

If automatic renewal is enabled, your domain is renewed at expiry without any action on your part. A reminder email is sent before renewal to let you know about the upcoming payment. You can enable or disable this option at any time from your client area; whatever you choose, you'll receive email notifications reminding you of the deadline so you can act in time.

If you don't renew in time

If your domain name is not renewed in time:

• it becomes inactive,
• associated services (website, email, redirections) may be interrupted,
• the domain name may be released back according to the registry's rules.

Reminder emails are sent before expiration to warn you of the deadline and the risk of service suspension.
