What documents are required and how long does activation take?

The documents needed to validate your .MC, the activation delay (around 5 business days), and what happens if it's refused.

The .MC extension is subject to specific rules. To validate your request, you must provide documents proving your identity and your legitimacy to use the domain name, submitted directly from your client area in PDF, JPG, or PNG format.

Required documents

  • An official document proving your legal existence or your connection to the domain name (company extract, association bylaws, trademark certificate, etc.).
  • An official registration form, to be completed and signed.

Without these documents, the domain name cannot be activated.

Activation delay

Once your order is validated and the documents are compliant, the request is forwarded to NIC Monaco. In practice, your domain name is generally active within a few business days (around 5 business days), and you are informed by email at every step until final activation. The more complete and compliant the documents are from the start, the faster the activation.

If NIC refuses your domain

If registration is refused by NIC, don't worry: you are fully refunded, or you can propose a new domain name at no extra cost.
